I sympathize with what you are saying, and frankly... sometimes it is just better to be free... I have found that most people often do not appreciate what you give to them, and very few respect or understand the life of an internet marketer. My advice to you would be BREAK THE TIES, live FREE, do what you WANT, when you want.
In terms of investments... GET OUT OF THE STOCK MARKET.. it is a casino, based upon the whims of a few Wizards at the Federal Reserve.
If you want to SAVE your money, SAVE it in GOLD, or silver. Personally I favor silver at this time because it is INSANELY undervalued. But let me remind you, only take DELIVERY of physical. Get your money out of the "ELECTRONIC" form and into tangible, liquid assets. Silver, gold, platinum palladium.

Just try to stay healthy, and remind yourself that no matter how much you save and invest.... a debilitating medical condition can not only wipe that all away, but also leave you bankrupt. Your health is #1. It seems clearly that this girl does not at the time have the capacity to adapt to your needs for a female helper.... and it is causing you undue strain. Stress is a silent, but deadly killer.
