So let me get this straight.
You promised him goods.
He paid your for said goods.
You cannot deliver said goods.
If he does a chargeback, he'll be committing credit card fraud? In whose eyes? Certainly not in the credit card company's eyes. Merchandise not received is a perfectly valid chargeback reason.
necoeds, you may want to confirm this with your bank, because i think you have misunderstood. the chargeback policy for merchandise not received is that you must wait 60 days from the day of the order before you can start a chargeback. next friday would make it 60 days.
basically, you don't have until then to initiate the chargeback. you have to wait until them to initiate the chargeback.
i work for visa, so i'm a pretty good source on this, but double-check with them just to make sure i'm right.
