Not sure. I know they bring tanks and humvees out on the streets during riots, but I haven't seen one of these vehicles yet.
Only other place I've seen such a hardcore vehicle rolling on public streets is in Brazil where they drive them into the favelas when they go to war with the gangs inside. Really can't imagine why they would need these in the USA unless they are expecting some serious shit in the future. Seems to be overkill for any other purpose.
