I live in redneck country.
rednecks are dangerous too. get too drunk in a redneck bar, mouth off, look at the wrong girl, or just generally be stupid, and you are very likely to catch a beating, have your tires ripped, and generally be sorry you were so stupid. be especially careful about the girls, they like to set a snotty loser up for a beating.
you can also catch a bullet or a knife from these guys. happens all over around me.
I also live in biker country. the same applies.
this is not a world designed to make everyone able to be cozy and happy and be able to be happily stupid no matter where they are, what they do, what they say, or who they are dumb enough to mess with.
this is not a world where it's not stupid to go into a black part of town, or a spic part of town, or a redneck part of town, whatever the bad part of town is, and get drunk and act like you better then everyone else.
personally, I figure whoever that loser was, he had it coming.
I myself have never seen blacks gang up on a white guy - I don't hang with blacks a lot, but when I have, they seemed fine to me, if suspicious of me, reasonably so - but I've seen whites gang up on a white guy many dozens of times.
