It's not my job to care about small people getting a foot onto the ladder. In fact keeping them off the ladder is the name of the game.
Some big programs should of thought the same when buying content. Paying peanuts they allowed others who could also pay peanuts to open a site and compete with them.
It's a business, not a social club.

It could not have been stopped. This is exactly how a free market works. You are postulating with the benefit of hindsight and it does absolutely no good. Because no one could have controlled the access of amateurs to digital tools, cheap Internet and the changing morales of young hot women. Remember Paul, back in the day, porn actresses were not so pretty. Now it seems as though every woman on the planet is nude on the Internet somewhere.
Before the Internet, there were magazines and film. Then things were somewhat more controllable, but that's all gone now. Exclusive content is only exclusive to the person that has seen it all, and he/she doesn't exist.
