Anyone care to share how they monetize Twitter?

I'll start ( for what it's worth )

Three active accounts averaging 27k followers each:


Paid Tweets:
- We get $1.25 per tweet per account
- We average just under 10 paid tweets per account per day

Twitter Traffic:
- We auto tweet every blog post, FB update etc and drive all traffic to two locations. Drives an average of 2k uniques a day to these two sites ( not a lot but it's better than nothing and it's targeted )

Direct to Sponsors:

- We schedule 5 tweets a day direct to sponsors with our ref code ( Twitter traffic does not work well for this in our experience )

Direct to products

- We schedule 5 tweets a day direct to products with our ref code ( Twitter traffic does ok for this in our experience )

So in 2011:

Paid Tweets Totaled: $13, 425
Twitter Traffic Totaled : 612,000+ uniques
Direct to Sponsors Totaled : $2,118
Direct to Products Totaled : $3,824


So.. I'll take it but would love to understand how to better monetize the followers.
