9 people have been shot within a 2 block radius of my building alone within the past year  There is definitely something brewing out there. Granted I live in a known bad area, but it hasn't hit these levels since crack was the cool thing to do... even then I don't think we've had this much shootings so clustered together like this.
I know the NYPD got caught smuggling in guns last year, but there's something bigger going on out here.
