That wasn't true in her day. It was a woman's obligation to please her husband when he asked. And so a man can have sex all he wants, but it's up to the woman to abstain to avoid pregnancy? Come on...
Easy/cheap birth control was the catalyst that enabled women to enroll at post-secondary institutions and focus on careers because they could choose to put off motherhood until later. If you want to remove women from the workplace and especially management positions, go ahead and remove the access to birth control.
