OMG tractor supply had a batch of ducklings come in with the chics, they were so cute. I was really tempted to pick up a couple but I think it best to see how the chics make out first. As soon as they are big enough we will take them out of their tank with the light and let them free range. They have over a acre fenced in. I am concerned about the dogs eating them. I hear they are great at eating insects, insects are a major problem where I live. I think I will buy a coop and put it in my daughters garage so at night they won't wake me up and will be safe from foxes, etc. Will have to make a poop tray that's easy to pull in and out. Chickens shit non stop. The lady at tractor supply said they look like Rhode Island reds but couldn't guarantee it.
