Nope, but you don't need to put only banner there, it is widget position and you can put anything. 384 is just max width of widget. I have seen some examples of people posting live cam banners there, combining 2 of them in row to blend in like it's part of website.
pornopiggy.com for example have their ads very well blended into website.
