so like I suggested, get payment up front for anything less than $500.... take at least half down for anything over. Problem solved.
but if you do a banner or something for someone you've never done business with before, for someting like $20, and you DON'T get it up front.... you're taking your chances. Namely because, if the person decides they don't want it.... what the fuck are you gonna do about it. I'll tell ya what you're gonna do..... nothing. If they won't accept the work, and refuse to pay you for something they're not using.... what are you gonna do..... hire a lawyer and sue them? I don't think so.
Unless you know the person very well, and/or have done good business with them in the past, take payment in full for small jobs up front. End of story. Anything less is no one's fault but your own.
