No. But I really had no say in the matter. Her friend who recommended the Vitamix had burnt through 2 Ninja XL models in less than 2 years. The first replacement was covered by warranty but the second replacement wasn't, so she went with the Vitamix.
I've held the Ninja in my hands at the store. It's definitely not built the same way as the Vitamix. The Vitamix has almost twice the power and the length of the full warranty is 7 years.
I'm sure it does a good job. The key for me is, will it hold up. Reviews and experience of friend seemed to suggest otherwise.
