can anyone help?

I have a site that is down, and whilst I fix it I would like to temp redirect all traffic from that site, so another site ( hosted with directnic ) but when I choose web forwarding in network solutions, it says pay 40 dollars. wtf is that right? It is free with godaddy afaik
