My mother taught this to me first hand when she divorced my step father. She kept telling him that she wanted the business because she wanted steady income after the divorce. So my father was prepared to fight for the business. They go to court, he offers up the house, she accepts, sold the house a few days later, then quickly moved cross country. He never saw it coming.
