Afghanistan did not have a national Army so all combatants are civilians. How many of the 15,000 were not combatants? The Iraqi insurgents/combatants were civilians. How many of the 100,000 were not combatants? BTW...a large number of the 100,000 were killed by their fellow countryman. How many of the 30,000 Pakistani's were Al Qaeda combatants...how many were Taliban combatants. BTW...a significant number of the 30,000 have been killed by the Pakistani Army.
When the U.S. engages in combat...the normal kill ratio ranges from 10-1 up to 1000-1.
