All Ads Pulled From the Rush Limbaugh Show

ouch.

Personally I don't think corporate interests should have anything to say or be considered a reflection of television content. They are whores, and respond only to bullshit like Fallwell's campaign against the TV show "Soap" - when there's controversy. They should keep their ads and stay out of philosophy, ideology, politics or causes - because they have none.

They're the backdrop and necessary bllshit background tapestry we skip whenever we can to justify "free" TV...

So though I hate Limbaugh with a passion, I think pulling ads here is just as bullshit as threatening to pull ads on "Soap", "M.A.S.H." and all those other shows the religious mentally retarded have hobbled in the past.

I guess I disagree. If I am going to buy ad space on a TV show or radio show (or magazine or whatever) in a way I am aligning myself with that person and I am putting money in their pocket which gives the appearance that I approve of whatever they are doing. If that person or show suddenly takes on a tone that you feel doesn't really reflect that of your company you should be able to pull your money out of their show.
