GFY takes their time to come up with a contest with a ton of prizes for the benefit of Webmasters. I'm sure GFY's thoughts are for Webmasters to have fun with this and yes, someone is gonna win. The Webmasters eventually retract their statements, say "they didn't mean it" , etc. The real impact it has is on the company, GFY, here, they tried to do something extra for their Webmaster community, and instead of accolades, they receive ridicule. One day they'll make a decision to not have promotions, not get as involved as they do, and that will be a sad day. The same thing has happened to CE, too many times, so I speak from experience.
Instead of ridiculing this contest, why don't we give it up to the folks that put the contest together and the sponsors that supported it!! That way maybe they'll do it again at 2,000,000, and everyone will appreciate it 
Lensman, Hoax and all those involved in this milestone promotion - I applaude you on a job well done

Regardless of the statements some make to the negative concerning our contests or intentions or whatever...I'm confident that Lensman in his infinite wisdom will take a duck's back position and let the comments roll off him. I think it would truly be a dark day when he becomes jaded enough to let some pissants ruin his contests. The spirit is there, and in general I think the spirit of the whiners is truly in jest, and it keeps with the theme here. Life is no fun if you can't make fun of a few people, laugh at yourself, or start some shit.
So all in all I say thanks and go fuckyourself to all...
