Paul you say dont compete with people who have 10 years head start on us, but surely we have to start somewhere ?
I value the traffic sent by others (affiliates) however many people have been amazed we dont have out own traffic, I mean for a start it would give us pretty much 100% of the sales...
Our sites are massively under promoted, and even though they convert pretty darn good with the limited traffic they get, we dont seem to be able to attract any major traffic...
So we really feel that we need to start getting our own traffic hub sorted... this will come from a mixture of blogs, tgp/freesite, tubes and message boards... a lot of work I know, but again we're not expecting this to happen in a month or two...

But your telling me that a new start up company shouldnt look at what successful and established companies do in the way of advertising, both the vehicles they use to promote themselves and the themes of those promotions ? A new chain of burger restraunts shouldnt advertise on TV cause McDonalds have been doing it for years ?
We have an unsaturated product in my opinion... We will both drive to get our own traffic, and also get affiliates to give us more of a push too...
