Just to add:
FYI godaddy.com has 10x less registrar power than any of these: Snapnames.com Namejet.com or Pool.com
Backordering with just Godaddy.com will give you only minimal chances of domain acquisition. To paint a clearer pictue there are roughly 900 registrars and godaddy.com has approx 10 or less. Your chances just with Godaddy.com are 90/1 against you. Each single registrar has the same chance of picking up a deleted domain.
Snapnames/Namejet/Pool have a combined registrar power of say 500+ registrars so your chances are much greater. Plus registrars outside of Snap/Namejet/Pool do not usually offer back-ordering services, so your chances are
even higher
Why is this info important?
Well there are gems of domains dropping because parking just got non-profitable and the squatters are releasing domains like crazy (at least for my mainstream niches). You can find really valuable domain names dropping and if you use the combined registrar power above and keep in mind that squatters have never been broke-er you can really pick up some niiiiice domains for little money this way.
