The page from the mobile carrier that is causing this issue has already been posted here, twice.

There is no scamming, no phishing, no one has access to anything. And the press is not all over anything. This is happening in a developing country and no one apparently gives a shit.

Also, if you have malware on your computer, it is very possible to create something to make it seem like you are entering something on facebook.com, while in reality you're actually on a third party site.
After reading through the TrueMove page, it's clear they are charging people. It's written as plain as day. It's all legit. The issue is, they claim it's not mandatory, but it is. So I'm thinking it may be a glitch. However, this is Thailand, the land of scams, so this "glitch" may be on purpose just to see how many paying customers they can get because Facebook catches on to what they are doing. Even the biggest of companies here are usually unethical. Or it is possible Facebook is testing the waters. If you look through Facebook support posts, there are LOTS of people trying to figure out how to cancel this charge, so it's clearly been going on for a while without any media notice.

Regarding the malware, I'm clean. And as soon as I entered my USA phone number, I got immediate access. It was only when I used a Thai number when this happened. But it's all written out on the TrueMove site as to what is happening, it's just not optional as they suggest.
