Just google estimated numbers of exoplanets, there are many recently published articles about this. You also like to use that someone "had to travel millions of light years" and that is of course absolutely wrong. Whole galaxy is about 100 000 light years in diameter. So in fact they needed to travel only tens or hundreds light years, there are millions of planets in this distance.
Maybe Ancient Aliens is stupid show I have seen only 2 episodes so I do not know, but it would be stupid to reprobate whole idea about aliens visiting Earth, because someone just was sensation-seeking.
If you know what Fermi paradox is, than you would know very good explanation for this is that they visited us, but very long time ago. Whole problem is that just someone believes to evidence we have and someone not and that is absolutely right. So until some of them will visit us in the future or we will visit them, this question will still be there.
I would suggest everyone to try to find some information about this on your own.
