you cant say your cat catching mice and was doing your community a service unless you dont mind when 'bob' moves in with his dobermans and proclaims his community service is to get rid of all the cats in the area.

I am a huge animal lover. My cats are very content, very healthy, very balanced and they are indoors 95% of the time.
I hear ya and that is the other side of the coin and really why I felt torn. I had considered a leash but I also want to be realistic.

Thing is he is young enough where right now he doesnt beg to go out and only goes out when I say but when it warms up.. Plus I certainly cant keep him in always.

So really it is back to leash or no leash. Cause without it he is gonna dart and I cant really be there watching him always. I guess I can try bringing him back in as I do now. That may work. Then I am with him always. That may work.

otoh the other neighbors on the other side towards the alley have a cat for years who wanders in my direction and yard all the time. Another neighbor told me he was glad to see a cat around. As there are 20 dogs for every cat. Many barking all the time. One terrible barker right next door to me now.

They (the bitch and ex high school wresting champ - true.. little did I know, took me right down.. I regress to 2004) have two dogs who sit and bark out the window constantly at me if they are gone. One time many years ago I lost my temper when they werent around and went up and yelled into the window. Sorry. It didnt change nothing. Kept right on barking

But yeah most people are reasonable and REALIZE that proper neighbor relations are better than fighting over cats.

I let the neighbor who likes cats have all the apples he wants from my huge apple tree. He picked a ton, made wine and gave me some.

Like I said, her father was very mean and angry... the husband seemed to nod at me today like "it is ok" he (a farm guy) realizes this and I think would rather be friends but.. She was all worked up. God I wish I had a video.

Here I am an old man on his own with a little kitty.

Show some love. She has terrible karma.
