This may sound like a stupid question, but do charge backs exist because there is no way to prove that someone actually bought access to a site?
If so isn't there any type of technology or tracking you could do to prove that a person accessed content. IE tracing the ip address of the credit card purchase to the IP address where person access the content.
I know this is a bad example because of users who use dynamic ips, but it seems to be there has to be a way to prove a surfer actually bought access to a site.
any thoughts??
