Does Porn Need More Women Consumers?

Point taken about Farmville analogy

but it is interesting that only 20% of farmville players are actually under 18, depending where you get your numbers from, which mean 80% are over 20. Albeit a large proportion of those being women in the farmville case.. and we could always use more women buying porn to expand our markets

BTW the whole social networking demographic thing is in some ways is like the perception about videogames themselves being just for kids. Gaming consoles have been around from the 80's. The average videogamer, according to sources like the ERSB and other market research sites, is male 34+ years in age, employed and a credit card holder!

The biggest entertainment franchise in history is now 'Call of Duty', a videogame that has generated billions, out pacing Avatar, Titanic, Harry Potter and any other movie franchise by a long shot.

Videogames and entertainment spend go hand in hand now-a-days and we are trying to provide product for where money is being spent. Gamer's support there favorite games with cash so they know there will be a prequel or a sequel.

Anyway gamers are trained like Apple consumers to put their money in the game be it for songs, whatever the Apple cult needs at .99 cents a pop. Money in the game means they wil get a cooler next gen prodcut from Apple and then buy another device and toss the old. Recurring revenue up the ying yang!

I am not bashing Apple but I was pretty pissed when I brought my iPad home and had to give them my credit card to turn the damn thing on. Pissed me off but I recognize the marketing brilliance behind it all, be it for activating a .99 sent song, a 3.00 iPhone app, or turning on your $600 dollar iPad.

They have my credit card and have made it very easy for me to use and upsell me

I digress maybe to much but the main message is our products try to provide ongoing revenue streams after the initial join and this is tracked by the game itself as all purchases are tracked from their. Sometimes the adult industry innovates and the mainstream imitates, in this case adult can benefit from imitating mainstream... I hope ;)

Imagine a woman saying to her gamer significant other 'Hey honey I just bout a new virtual dildo for .99 cents, you wanna play Sexville with me'
