A standard paperback is 100-200 pages.
In high school we passed erotic novels back & forth. Guys and girls, we all read them.
One girl refused to admit she read chapter 2 of one book. Had a lez theme.

Got caught with one, "The Harrad Experiment," the teacher made me give a book report.
There were also some paperbacks with a James Bond satire to them. 'Ted Mark' was the man from O.R.G.Y. usually had 5 or 6 fucks in them. Actually were good reading without the sex.
