The information is out there. We know that too much alcohol is bad for you. We know that too much drugs are bad for you. We know that too many cigarettes are bad for you. We know that too much gambling is bad for you. We also know that too much sugar and fat is bad for you.
People still do them because they want to do them. Banning sugar or fat would be a simple Band-Aid, that wouldn't even work, on a deeper sociological issue. That Band-Aid would prevent real solutions to real problems from being formed.

I think education would go a long way. most people have no idea on the sugar or sodium contents of most foods.
