Every time I hear stories like this, I am more and more thankful that:
I have never been married, never plan to get married.
Keep my personal income very low and let my businesses own and pay for everything.

Marriage is an outdated system that has turn into a money grab by those who are in that industry. From the rings to the honeymoon it is nearly impossible to not WASTE a small fortune on a wedding these days. When a couple could just commit to each other and take that same money and get a solid foundation for their future with it instead.
Procreation has become a joke. We are already over populated and have people on a daily basis having more than two children and just increasing the overpopulation problem.
People need to wake up and smell the fucking coffee!
