There was another thread which was not just locked but which was quickly deleted. Some other people here commented on it as well. In that thread another user shared the whois screen shot I linked to in my initial post. This is a different one entirely from the one which was earlier locked.
It would seem to me that there is a connection between Brazzers and Filesonic based on the available evidence. Namely that both were once owned by the same individuals at one time. The screen shot provided seems to provide evidence for this. There may in fact be some other connections but this remains to be seen. I believe personally it is a matter which should be investigated by the government and the media. I'm trying to do my part to help out in that effort as we speak.
I have no idea why the thread which preceded this one was deleted (not locked). It did give me the impression that perhaps someone was trying to hide the screenshot in question.
