You're singing my song. The hard truth is 90%, I just made it up like PB, of sites have nothing but conveyor belt porn. Little imagination, budget or skills used. Porn buyers are repeat buyers, well they should be, they've joined sites before and found what's inside might be wide screen HD, still it's still trash. Tubes offer something else, click and browse till you find the stuff you like. Jerk off and go. Surfers choose Tubes for more reasons than it being free.
Those who will really benefit from a closure of file lockers, are the guys with something worth buying that a crappy flv won't suffice or supply the same or similar.

The porn buyer isn't some aimless person strolling down a street once every 5 weeks. He's a guy who likes jerking off to his favorite niche/style. He might find a sample he likes free on a Tube, jerk off. Then go to a file locker to download the whole site. While he's watching the football on TV.
It's like a wine drinker, he doesn't just decide he would like a bottle of wine tonight and go to the shops. He has a selection at home for when he wants a bottle.
Your guy isn't going to get pass a Tube site these days. That's why Tube convert so badly. 500 enjoy, 1 clicks and buys. So 99.5% of your guys on Tubes, don't go any further.
I would suspect it's far far higher. Maybe 95% don't click a link. That stat came from PR tube stats, the general picture was 1-19/20 were clicking the links, where the sales ratio was poor.
