The Sony cameras are designed to be used as video cameras.
The camera used is not as important as the skills of the person lighting and using the camera. Using still cameras are just too much of a pain.

We shoot in HD because our films are shown on cable as well as Internet.
good to hear! we use either a panasonic hvx200 w/p2 card @ 720 and sometimes a Sony ex3, but looks like you nailed it, lighting & if you know what you do then you are a step ahead ! cheers
