Maybe they're idiots, or maybe, like 'legit' billionaires, the money is just a byproduct of them doing what they like doing. Either way filesharing sites will not stop, especially when they not in and of themselves illegal or criminal.
Edit: And good luck giving 50 years to someone from a country that does not bend over and take it from Uncle Sam, the way US satellite states like NZ or the UK do.

Your right about the organized crime, a lot of major drug dealers do it not just for the money but also because it's what they do best and some of them don't really know how to live a life without crime. They like everything that comes along with the money (well except for the getting caught part, but even then most accept it and just consider it a part of the game).
