Re: Dominican Republic - my advice is to stay away from the beaches. Go to a non tourist town or part of town anyway. Tourist areas in DR have the ugliest hookers charging 3 times what the locals pay for hotter girls far away from idiot tourists.
You can go to Sosua on the North Coast and party on the beach all day and then take a 1 hour taxi to Santiago for some of the best looking women for sale anywhere at either Passion, CasaBlanca or Illusion (in descending order of cost)
Of course I don't have any personal experience, just what I've been told...
