2 years back I had to break into my folks place when I came to visit, mother locked from the inside (key still in the lock) and earlier that day she god a new set of meds for recovering after stroke.. so we're guessing the drugs were just enough strong to make her go into a seriously deep sleep or something.. tried cellphone, landline, knocking and banging on the door, and after none of it helped, I borrowed something like a crowbar from a senile old neighbor lady - made a hole in the door and unlocked from the inside.
huge stress but the funny part after that was when the grandma nextdoor said "you did such a neat job, who are you again?", she had helped a stranger break into neighbors appartment, no idea who I was :D
