Guess I didn't! I thought selective service was 18-29, with preference for the younger. I always figured they'd wait on us "over the hill" guys until the younger people really started dying. Just doesn't make much sense any other way.
Incidentally, I'd be proud to serve in the military. I'd show up right away if I were drafted.
