Some of you guys are failing to recognize that there's still a number of studios who still shoot full length features with *GASP* stories. And I don't mean parodies, though they need script writers, too. The problem is that these companies already have their "go-to" writers, and I think it's pretty hard to break through that barrier, unless you write and shoot your own stuff and it catches their eye.
I actually tried to go down this route years ago, before I really got into the industry in the capacity I am now. I got Vivid's office number, and a receptionist hooked me up with Paul Thomas' direct office number. I called several times, left a couple of messages offering to write some original screenplays. Never heard back. That's life.
