It never used to bother me when I'd read the Sun before school. It sure didn't give me a complex either...
Sometimes it's just nice to keep things light, particularly when a lot of news is depressing. The Sun was always a more 'happy-go-lucky' newspaper, that I recall anyways. Silly wild stories from abroad, and other interesting tidbits.
Man, anyone remember back when Piers Morgan used to be the Entertainment guy for the Sun? How times change!
