since when does your job have to define you as a person? I personally know doctors, engineers and some business owners that hate their work as much as the next person... doesn't mean they don't enjoy their lives or who they are though..
'fun' or 'creatively stimulating' jobs either don't exist or don't pay... everyone else just uses a different level of imagination to convince themselves otherwise.

at least 8 hours of people's days are at work, another 8 is spent sleeping roughly, add in the mundane chores that need to be done, that's 5 days a week - if somebody hates their work then i don't see how they can enjoy their lives, being that such a huge amount of their time is doing something they don't like.
people who love what they do whether they're rich or poor financially from it are blessed.
