It's generally not worth it promoting a sponsor who does 1:6000 for you anyway. Chances are you can put up a better converting sponsor or sell the traffic for ten times what you are earning.
When someone does worse than even 1:2,000 I start looking for other stuff to promote. I used to say the same about 1:1000 but sadly those days are gone.
