I use several hosting companies for various reasons. SEO wise I use Cyberwurx because of their competitively priced packages and their cheap different C class IP addresses.
Get just about any dedicated at put the 4000bw promo code in the promo box and get 4 terabytes (4000BG) of bandwidth. Which is a whole other reason I use them!
I have hosted all over the map. Every major hosting company on GFY has had me on their system at one point or another.
Cyberwurx is where I am after 8 years of testing the waters.
The MAIN reason I am with them and promoting them to you is the level of customer service. I put in a trouble ticket, it is always handled in minutes. Simple. I want to add a domain to the server (which I often do several times a day) it is added in minutes allowing me to quickly expand my network at a moments notice.
The customer service is there 24/7/365!
Now lets talk about server load... Lets pretend you have a dual core processor. It can handle up to a 2.0 load. That is both processors working at 100%. Quad core would then handle a 4.0 load.
I had a cheap SEO company and they were running my server on some nasty shit. One server had only about 25,000 unique surfers a day on wordpress blogs. The server ran at 3.x load almost all of the time and frequently went overloaded on the weekends!
They blamed Wordpress up and down... But I knew it was how the server was set up... So I bought an account at Cyberwurx and had them mirror the server. Then I switched the nameservers over to them. After 2 days (allowing for propagation) I checked my load on Cyberwurx. It was about .4! That is, less than a one!
Cyberwurx uses their own proprietary build of Linux to achieve this feat. I highly recommend using it instead of picking something else!
So the sites on this server suddenly went from those 25,000 uniques to 54,000 in 2 months. That old hosting company and their crap server was holding my sites back! Surfers would simply look elsewhere when it took 2 to 4 seconds for pages to load.
Now even with the increased users the load sits around .8 to 1.4 on a quad core processor. Which means it is only running about 25% on peak times.
SEO wise I have 15 IPs on that server and I have 100's of sites. I basically do something like this:
IP 1 : Teen site 1, milf 1, big tits 1, etc...
IP 2 : Teen site 2, milf 2, big tits 2, etc...
You get the idea... The theory is to give each IP address its own chance to capture the keyword "big tits". They all don't have a problem doing this... But I am not sure if this is overkill since I have other servers I didn't do this with and they all work just as well having several domains capture the same keywords based on the same IP address.
I also have other hosting with various small packages from domain provides and the like... Perhaps they gave me free hosting so I put a few sites on it just to spread things around.
But for the most part most of my stuff is on
Cyberwurx. I also do heavy link trading in A <=> B, A => B => C, A => B / C => D situations to mimic real life trading. I guess it kind of is real life trading...
