An outer suburban 3-4 bedroom house can cost $500,000+ for a shit hole 40km plus away from the city.

Paying $1 million + for a good house is not unheard of.

The average Australian wage is $1416.00 per week.

Someone shooting porn would want alot more than $1416 per week, someone shooting cheesy ads for late night TV can earn $6k + per week easily.

Petrol is 136.9 cents per litre (1 litre = 0.26 US gallons)

Car registration is around $600 per year + Insurance around $300 - $700 per year.

A loaf of bread is about $4 - $5.

I could go on.
Most of that sounds like any big city in the US. Only I can GUARANTEE you that there's no State in the US where the average person takes home $1400 per week.
