In Brazil now. Must see if i stay here longer than six months or go to Paraguay, Uruguay or Thailand for some time. Want to stay here though. But advise and tips are welcome where to stay after Brazil

If you go to tourist area there are more Gringos so you won't get that much contact with local people. If you stay out of the tourist places the girls attack you and want to have sex with you. Especially if you have blue eyes ;) Thailand is nice if you like prostitutes. Some good places in Bahia, Itacare, Porto Seguro. That are little more aimning at tourist but might be a good start with good internet. 1000 usd can be done, but not that much. A good cheap house/appartment will be about 500 reais = 225 euro, broadband internet 100 reais = 40 euro, electricity 75 reais a month, water about 60 reais a month. Eating at a kilo restaurant will cost you 8 - 16 reais 3,50 - 8 euro 06 liter skol beer = 4 reais. I know that foreigners are living here for 1000 - 1500 reais.
But they speak Portugese here, ypu will learn
No need for a scooter, busses go everywhere.
