My purposes are:
1. you should be able to live OK for 1000 usd monthly (staying in one place mostly)
2. access to spanish schools/ volunteer options to learn spanish well
3. good internet connection
4. ability to a) rent/buy cheap motorbike/scooter from local people and use it for your transportation needs
b) ability to pick up local chicks easy as they should like/love gringos... not especially hookers but some normal decent ladies.
