If you had a very basic understanding of selling and marketing. Your post would single you out as a fool. And you're not. It's the "industry thinking" that's wrong.
1,000 people interested in looking at porn, following a link of any sort. That's 1,000 interested people. And 999 not buying.
Maybe you're talking about the 1,000 who click on a link after looking at the samples. So how many consumers does it take to get a click?
What this industry has done is call a failure a success, and that's
Even 100 consumers and 1 buyer. it's 99% loss rate.
I accept a lot of surfers can't buy. but not 99%. And definitely 99.9%. I would guess a Tube site doesn't convert that well, with actual visitors, not those bothered to click on a banner. The fact that the industry ignores a whole sector of consumers shows the failure.
