I agree with you Papillion that's why I wrote "if it won't help, it won't harm". Most petitions are pointless probably but they do send out a message. Also PETA achieves a lot of things with online petitions. They had testing chemical weapons on pigs by the US military stopped, and it was an online petition that made a Chinese airline cancel the transport of a group of monkeys to an animal testing lab. A petition can either make decision makers more consious of what they're doing, or, in case they really don't give a fuck, it can still make clear to them that changing their policy is better for their PR. And good PR is what Sarajevo needs if they want to get out of their current political isolation.
