My company does such kinds of projects... but there are several rules:
1 ) A new formed company is made for that specific project and that new company is based in Spain.
2 ) If you provide only the idea, and no money, then we get 75% of the project share and 25% is for you. Also there is an extra clause in the contract in case the project gets sold some day (tends to happen) you get 30% of the sale price (instead of 25%) after expenses. That's for projects that need less than 250k euro to get working. For more expensive projects your share goes down.
3 ) If you also provide the money to run with all the show, then we take between 40% and 50% of the project share. Depending on the project cost this could be negotiated.
4 ) If it's a military use project, then it cannot be a missile guidance system. Everything else is ok.
We have a bit more rules like these, but basically the percentage shares make it easy to separate real projects from useless ones.
