A little common sense never hurts.

Firstly, we'd attempt to contact Nick (or other principals) and attempt to recieve approval to remove the hardware. Word on the streets is he HAS given people their servers back following the move to Equinix. Probably to save face, as this debacle's already taken a considerable toll on his reputation.

As a last resort, we could work with the local sheriff to get your hadware released, presenting them with purchase orders, sales reciepts, and other documents confirming the gear does indeed belong to you.

You get the idea.
