Think of it this way, put a bunch of politicians in charge of the internet, they will group together and start up censorship, next thing you know, you'll show up to GFY and get redirected to a military recruitment site.
People lose their homes because someone wants to build a strip mall, if you flush your toilet when the police show up at your frint door, they can break down the door with guns out, and the list goes on

Grow a back bone.
What it will do is stop people outside the US steal work from US based companies and sell it without giving money to the creator. It's an attempt to get pirates off the backs of creators of products. So the US creators can sell the product ad be taxed by the US Government.
This will result in more money flowing into the USA, more jobs, more investment, more profit and yes more tax revenues. It might mean less tax revenues for you personally. Because the US can repay some of the massive debt is racked up trying to keep your taxes down.
Today some of the tax you pay is to cover the lost revenue due to pirates outside the US. Or do you think the lost revenue isn't having an effect on your taxes?
Can you tell me where that's wrong?
By looking at piracy sites and advertising sites we can clearly see what big business it is. And it is for your company.
Before I take time to go and surf all the piracy sites trying to pull up more ads from your company. Maybe you would like to list them. To show clearly what side of the fence you're on. Because if we pull up a lot of the sites you have in your sig, you might just end up looking like an extreme funding source of piracy.
