i pay 42 % income tax and 19% VAT tax on everything i buy.
If you earn a bit more as me in europe you pay 50% income tax and 19% VAT.
But the people you talk about are TAX exampt in most cases because they use loopholes in the law, like offshore accounts and tax exampt foundations.
