It seems the key is finding a sponsor or site to push traffic to that isn't overplayed (or being pushed by someone else).
Then it's picking keywords and a decent per click budget for placement.
I did break-even business pushing a $20 per signup site a few days ago, but then hit 2 days with no signups and still pumping cash into google.
It seems like you can do a lot quick if you put some $ on the line, but you could lose it just as fast with no return.
