It's not just adult, and it's just a cost of doing business. I dealt with the same chargeback percentages as a call center business analyst, and bounced checks as a caterer. Why does it happen? Because there's always one more asshole than you counted on. Perservere and you'll find a plan to limit your lost revenue, then someone else will figure out how to circumvent that plan. It just happens.
